One of my tenets in business is to Do it, review it, change it.
I learnt it from Kathy Woodward, an HR Director who worked at a UK printing company. She went on to head the British Printing Industry Federation (BPIF) until her untimely death in 2014. RIP Kathy.
It is such a powerful statement when you put it into practice.
If you have an idea, you can think and talk about it for ever but you will only know if it will work or not, by doing it.
If it doesn’t work, review it and then change it. If it does, review it and still change. It never stops and your product or service just gets better and better.
You will only know by DOING IT!
Shmuu.com is not a new domain. I bought it in 2022 for another idea I had……..
I had an agreement with the Head of Computing at a Dublin University that he would get his senior students to develop it. I just needed to raise the funds to continue developing it and bring it to market. Everyone I asked, said no.
Would it work now? Probably not.
WhatsApp has changed beyond recognition since then and now has so many additional features, messages would not translate to texts.
But if I had of done it, what would be different now? We can only imagine.
