This is one from the history books. The last mosh pit I joined in with. Pure madness on an epic scale! The sublime Fontaines DC in Iveagh Gardens, July 2022

Bad Manners last night in Opium. The crowd, all in their late 50s/early 60s, waiting until the very last song before they moshed and very restrained when they did let go. What would it have been like 30 years ago?

I love a good support act. Skull The Pierre tonight in the Button Factory with probably his first Mosh. Huge potential here…

Adore in Whelan’s tonight. Two things. Whoever this harmonica player is, he should be a permanent feature of the band. Remarkable sound.

^ But a spontaneous outburst of their mosh caught me unawares. From nowhere!

Ever seen a romantic mosh? Me neither until Upstairs at Whelan’s last night. Incredible set from Dublin band Digdeep.

Talking to the couple afterwards, they agreed to me posting these. Good luck to the pair of them. A couple that mosh together ……❤️

Bank Holiday here in Dublin this weekend.
Even the class misfits love to mosh. This was great…….

I’ve been neglecting this thread, sorry. Tonight at Workman’s the crowd just weren’t quite sure when to go……

Couple of cracking moshes from Dublin band Control. It’s definitely a young person’s game. 🙄

Look at this Mosh control from Ditz. The whole audience down……

👏👏👏

The Scratch in Whelan’s playing to a devoted crowd. Five memorable moshes for you……,,,

You’re welcome!

I dare you to watch this mosh and not smile. It’s definitely one of my favourites.

Congratulating him afterwards, he told me life is for living and never miss an opportunity to have fun. Damn right!!!

Bog Bodies, a trad-Irish rock band, had a full house at Whelan’s but their fans seemed to be predominantly female. How do ladies mosh together? Very carefully. 😉

Carla from Sprints really is the Mosh Mistress. A fearless performer, first time I saw her live a few years ago, she was crowd surfing like a mad thing.
Smaller crowd tonight in The Workman’s so no surfing but plenty of Mosh control.

In the 5th clip below, she asked if anyone in the audience could play guitar. The person beside me volunteered and she got to play with the band while Carla moshed with the audience. How cool is that?

The Mosh pit that didn’t happen……..
Chalk tonight in The Button Factory. Crowd were loving them, getting ready for another Mosh when the band finished playing.

So what did the band do? They started up again of course. Fair play to them!

The Scratch always provide legendary mosh pit action. Look at what happens in the space void continuum……..
