When I started growing my own, I read every blog and watched every video on YT going. When it came to the vital process of drying, 99% of people advised setting up a seperate drying room with hanging space, ventilation or a dehumidifier to prevent mould, a fan to keep the air circulating etc etc. Another grow tent basically.
However, one small voice said 'Trim your buds into a paper bag and put the bag on top of your lights.'
So I did, and it worked. 24 hours later you have dried buds ready for curing. Those that said you'd be left with loads of chlorophyll so you'll be coughing a lot I ignored because I only Shmuu, chlorophyll doesn't affect me.
The paper bag, together with the gentle heat from the lights, acts like a breathable membrane allowing moisture to disapate at least 10 times faster than a drying room would. I've done this with both HPS and LED lights. The temperature on top of your lights is usually about 20C, perfect for drying.
This thread is here to discuss this, oh so simple, process but also gives you an opportunity to show off your favourite drying bag.
This is mine. It's from our local Japanese restaurant and it just looks cool.
